If you are living with fibroids then you probably know you don’t have to eat all the bad stuff (red meat, dairy, white stuff). You may also know birth control pills do help in managing symptoms, but situation can turn worse if you stop them.

May you want to want to gain control over your symptoms and remove them in the long term. Or you want to stop them so that you can conceive a baby.

If you already know what foods to avoid, then you probably have a good idea of foods as medicines. Some foods can make the situation worse, while some foods can help you. These good foods balance hormones in the body, and strengthen your immune system.

Some foods even shrink fibroids to the level where they no more remain painful. If you know dairy, red meat, white stuff as bad foods because they stimulate and develop fibroids then there are foods that I list below that will do the opposite – they strengthen your internal system and balance your hormones.

Most people know that I always prefer foods that work on the root cause of the condition. When it comes to fibroids, then Western Medicines have no exact cause for fibroids and you probably heard the same from your doctor.

However, we all know one very important fact about fibroids – it is excess estrogen in the body that make them grow and when estrogen level is low (after menopause) then fibroids shrink to the size where they remain no more painful.

So we need to make our diet in such a way that it supports the body and eliminate excess estrogen safely and quickly. We basically need to create a low-estrogen environment in the body. This is important!

Let’s take a look at foods you should include in your Fibroids Diet.

5 Foods You Should Eat If You Have Fibroids:

Best Fibroids Foods

Whole Grain:

You already know you have to avoid white stuff (white bread, white rice, white wheat, etc.) if you have fibroids. You have to replace them with whole-grain food. Example of these are: brown rice, whole wheat, whole oats, etc.)

Whole-grain foods help in insulin stabilization. White stuff contains high glucose (that works as sugar in the body) that stimulate fibroids growth. So it is better to replace white grain with whole grain foods.

Additionally, whole grain foods are also rich in fiber that helps in removing excess estrogen in the body.

Soy:

As some of you may know, I don’t recommend soy to women especially in their reproductive years. However, when it comes to fibroids then a certain form of soy can be beneficial.

Soy that comes in the organic and natural form as miso and tempeh should be in your diet because this kind of soy puts an anti-estrogen effect on the uterus. However, moderation is key here, and you should avoid eating soy every day and do some fibroids exercises to lower their effect on the body.

Make sure you avoid all processed soy such as soy meat, soy milk, soy cheese, and all other meat and dairy food replacement.

Pears And Apples:

Pears and Apples are foods that should include in your diet if you have fibroids because these are liver-supporting foods. A good functioning liver is necessary to stop estrogen dominance and get rid of fibroids from the body.

Additionally, pears and apples contain a flavonoid called ‘Phloretin’ that stops tumors growth. This flavonoid blocks the development and growth of fibroids.

Flax Seeds:

Another food you must include in your fibroids diet is the Flax Seeds. This is because Flax seeds are the part of ‘estrogen receptor modulators’ that stop the estrogen effect on different parts of the body. This means Flax Seeds also stop the estrogen effect on the uterus that is helpful when you have fibroids.

Additionally, Flax Seeds are also a great source of fiber. And you have to include fiber content in your body because fiber removes excess estrogen through bowel from your body.

And lastly, Flax seeds are also rich in Omega-3 (improves liver function) and lignans (stops estrogen receptors from taking excess estrogen)

Beans:

Legumes and Beans are an excellent source of protein and fiber. This also reduces the inflammation that can stimulate fibroids growth.

Some great examples are: Kidney beans, mung beans, and lentils.

As fibroids sufferers, we were told to avoid red meat, and dairy then these legumes and beans can be a good protein replacement.

Besides these five foods, I already recommend three supplements. These are

Supplement To Take If You Have Fibroids:

Fibroids Supplements

Fibroid cause heavy bleeding, and along with low meat intake, women can develop a condition called ‘anemic.’

Thankfully, Chlorophyll is molecularly identical to hemoglobin, and it can help women to regain what is lost in bleeding and also help in strengthening your immunity.

Milk Thistle is great for detoxification and also improves liver function. This ability of Milk Thistle will help in stopping estrogen dominance and remove excess estrogen from the body.

Shiitake and Maitake Mushroom Extract:

This mushroom extract helps in improving the function of the immune system and slow down fibroids growth.
